Backyard Visitor

Almost every early evening lately, if we are still and quiet, we get a special visit from a young Cooper's Hawk to our bird bath. Sometimes he only stays a minute or two, recently he stayed 41 minutes.

We are truly touched by grace.

Isaiah 40:31
. . . but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

When we feel sad earth is a messenger..we seem open to nature to speak to us.. rainbows.. birds.. feathers.. and bring us peace.

Hi Emanda, There are 3 pages of information about the hawk which makes his arrival in your life very significant. A very brief summary: The hawk is a messenger like "Mercury" the messenger of the Gods. The sky is his realm and in flying he communicates with humans and the great creator spirit. He awakens our vision and inspires us to find our creative life purpose.
Hawks can live up to 14 years that number coincides with the 14th card of the Tarot Deck: Temperance representing the teaching of higher expressions of psychic sensitivity and vision.
He is also connected to the "kundalini" - life force and soul purpose. Be open to new ideas. A hawk is fearless and his beak and talons deadly so be cautious with your comments and actions they can tear and/or kill.
The Hawk teaches you how to fly to great heights while still keeping your feet on the ground. "Balance"
