I've Been Featured . . .

I recently joined the Etsy Rosary Guild Team to further develop my network of like-minded artisans. The ERGT has not been around a very long time, but just this last week, they decided to post Monday Member Meet and Greet interviews of one artisan or shop on their blog each week.

The questionnaire was posted and I suppose mine was the first one in because I am the first one featured! Please go check out the blog: Etsy Rosary Guild Team Blog

I am so pleased and honored to be a part of this incredible, talented, and spiritual group.

To bribe you to your keyboard, answer the following question here, by Noon Saturday January 30, and I will select one comment at random for this Retro-Chic Necklace posted in my shop.
Do you have a spiritual discipline or ritual you practice? (Please describe)

Emanda, that is a beautiful interview you've given. I am not RC or Anglican but have great respect for rosaries in the tradition of prayer beads and the great benefit of focussing your thoughts on the greater good, humanity, and the divine. Your work is beautiful.

Congratulations are well deserved Emanda! I am working on some custom rosaries right now for a client (and my own daughter as a surprise).
Rituals...well I am Roman Catholic so there are loads of rituals there. I am a cantor at our church and feel that it is so important to share my talents with the community. I believe that when I am standing up there I am called to be the best to lead the community in a prayerful response and lift my voice to heaven. I feel it is a great honor to do that.
Thanks for the great question, Emanda! Enjoy the day! Erin

Hi, I am roman catholic too - plus german in addition ;-). One of the habits I love is to celebrate the 4 weeks before christmas - the 4 advents. We buy / make a wreath from tree branches and Xmas deco and light a candle each sunday to celebrate the weeks waiting for christmas. Now we need to wait a couple more months again before I can assemble my next wreath - can't wait.

I am a Roman Catholic, very traditional one at that. The Good Shepherd nuns at my high school taught me well. I was wondering about your rosaries, I thought only Catholics used them, and was counting the beads, not sure why I was not seeing 10!
Congratulations on being featured, learnt a lot from reading your interview.

I am Roman Catholic also and have made rosaries since I was in the
6th grade (I'm a grandma now). I not only make them but say them also. I, like the other person, didn't realize Anglican's said the rosary.Your's is beautiful and I will check out the site. Thank you for sharing that.
